Beauté bio : les entreprises s’engagent-elles vraiment ?

Avec la recrudescence des marques "développement durable", j’observe la montée en puissance des signes distinctifs. J’ai donc eu envie de refaire un petit point sur la notion de label, de logo et de signes distinctifs d’engagement.

Le label est un signe identifiant l’origine et la qualité, au demeurant très encadré par la loi, et garantissant aux consommateurs le respect de normes généralement élevés de qualité et de sécurité. D’ailleurs, les établissements obtenant le label sont soumis, en principe, à des contrôles réguliers (par un organisme Certificateur). Il est généralement payant et représente un coût substantiel pour le société certifiée. En cosmétique bio, vous connaissez les labels Cosmebio, BDIH, UK soil association ....

Le logo est un dessin qui sert à identifier de manière unique les entreprises, produits, institutions, associations, événements, ou toute autre sorte d’organisations dans le but de différencier le propriétaire du logo des autres entités. C’est en général une marque. Donc, certains logos peuvent représenter des labels (type le logo bio de cosmebio) mais d’autres logos peuvent juste être le résultat d’une création personnelle. Donc, un logo n’induit pas forcément un label !

Les autres signes distinctifs de l’engagement des marques : on peut agir pour un développement plus durable sans forcément rentrer dans un processus de certification. Cela peut être motivé par le fait que le label n’existe pas ou n’est pas adapté à la problématique ou par convictions plus personnelles. Dans tous les cas, il est important de faire le tri. Ainsi, en réfléchissant sur ces notions, je me suis aperçue que Man & Biosphère était un programme de l’UNESCO et non un label. Au final, leur mission est bien de protéger les biosphères locales. Mais, cela passe par un comité local et non une certification.

Donc, pour plus de rigueur, nous allons modifier ces informations sur le site Mademoiselle Bio. Ne seront affichés sur les photos des produits que les labels. Les autres signes distinctifs d’engagement seront présentées dans le tableau qui récapitule l’engagement des marques.
